Man says he and his dog were charged at by coyote in Pacifica

PACIFICA (KRON) —  Charged by a coyote.

A man and his dog were rushed early Tuesday morning by a coyote. The guy and his dog are OK, but you might not expect that in an area like this.

In this area of Pacifica, there are lots of homes, neighborhoods, and apartment complexes. Esplanade Avenue is right by the SeaCliff Apartments.

The man said the coyote just started charging. He said he was able to scare the coyote away, and there wasn’t an attack. And this wasn’t some tiny toy dog with him. This was a black lab.

Certainly a reminder to be alert, especially as the drought pushes wild animals closer to people in an effort to find water.
