CONCORD (BCN) — Police are seeking an armed man who robbed a Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurant in Concord late Sunday night, a police corporal said.
The incident occurred at 10:57 p.m. Sunday at the Five Guys at 5442 Ygnacio Valley Road near Clayton Road, Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.
After the restaurant closed, a man entered the building and brandished a semi-automatic handgun, Blakely said.
He demanded money from a cash register at gunpoint and an employee complied, Blakely said.
The man fled the scene with an unknown amount of money and was not found during a later police search, according to Blakely.
Blakely described the suspect as a masked black man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans who stands at about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs roughly 220 pounds.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage to help identify the suspect. Anyone with relevant information about the case is asked to call Concord police at (925) 671-3200.
