SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man was punched in the face over a box of books in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood early Wednesday, according to police.

A 62-year-old man, was standing at Mission and Seventh streets just after 4:20 a.m. with a box of books next to him when the robbery occurred, police said.

Two men approached the victim. One of the suspects grabbed the box of books and punched the victim in the face, police said.

The two men, who are described to be in their early to mid 30s, then fled with the books.

The victim suffered a cut to his eyebrow and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No arrest had been made as of this morning, police said.Bay City News Service contributed to this report
