OAKLAND (KRON) — A Guatemalan native was shot to death in Oakland Sunday night.
Oakland police Officer J. Moore said the shooting happened around 9:21 p.m. in the 1500 block of 39th Avenue. That’s just a block north of International Boulevard, in the city’s Fruitvale neighborhood.
The man, identified as 38-year-old Basilio Pablo Ramirez, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Moore said that there may be as many as three people involved in the shooting. Police believe that one person shot the man, and one or two others drove off with the shooter in a vehicle.
