ANTIOCH (BCN) — The Contra Costa County coroner’s office has identified a man shot
and killed in a large fight in Oakley late Saturday night as 27-year-old
Antioch resident Ruben Tomas Sosa.
Police responded to reports of a large fight in the first block of
Hamilton Court in Oakley at 11:55 p.m. Saturday. They were notified while en
route that someone had been shot, according to sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee.
Responding officers performed CPR on Sosa, but he was later
pronounced dead by emergency personnel, according to Lee.
The case remains under investigation by the Oakley Police
Department and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
