RICHMOND (KRON) — A 25-year-old man was seriously hurt Monday afternoon after being shot multiples times in Richmond during a drive-by shooting, according to Lt. Felix Tan.

Police said it happened at around 4:51 p.m. in front of the Nevin Community Center, located at 598 Nevin Avenue, according to Tan. The man was shot in the leg and rushed to the hospital.

He is in serious, but stable condition, police said. Tan said the man will survive.

Richmond police said they believe the man was targeted by the drive-by shooter. Police have not arrested any suspects.

Police said they are not ruling out the possibility that the shooting may be linked to the one that killed a 14-year-old boy Monday morning, according to Tan.
