CONCORD (KRON) — An overturn accident created a major backup in Concord Monday morning and sent a man to the hospital.

The single-car crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. on Kirker Pass Road near Hess Road, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The rain has been causing a nightmare for Bay Area driver over the weekend and Monday morning.

CHP has reported a high number of spin out due to slick roads.

Several roads have also been shut down due to downed trees and flooding.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
