Authorities say a man is dead after being hit and killed on the freeway in San Jose Thursday morning.
Officials say the victim was running across lanes of traffic on SB-280 near McLaughlin Avenue when the collision occurred.
The coroner is en route to the scene.
The three left lanes are closed.
Traffic is jammed from SB-280 from 87 and NB-280 is backed up onto SB-680.
