NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested and charged for allegedly exposing himself to a woman on a Virginia hiking trail last Friday.

John Kacy Burt is facing charges of conspiracy to violate the VA Drug Control Act, possession of marijuana offense, profane swearing or intoxication in public, and indecent exposure for the alleged incident.

Officers responded to the Mariners Museum for a complaint about an unknown nude man on the Noland Trail.

The officers spokes with the woman, who said that she was walking on the trail when she heard a strange noise in a bush. She called out, and a man approached her from the treeline.

She told police that this man said, “Have sex with me and no one will have to die.”

The woman reportedly ran passed the man to call police. Officers arrived at the trail around 8 p.m., and later identified the man as Burt – who they say was only wearing a green shirt and white socks.

They say Burt was also acting very erratically.

Burt was taken to a hospital, where he said that he had taken two hits of LSD at the trail that afternoon.

He was arrested and booked on the above charges.
