OAKLEY (KRON/BCN) — Investigators confirmed Monday that a man who died inside a vehicle Sunday morning in Oakley suffered from a pre-existing medical condition, Contra Costa County sheriff’s officials said.

Medical examiners determined that the death of the man, who was found in a vehicle around 7:30 a.m. blocking the driveway of a fire station on O’Hara Avenue, was related to his medical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.

He initially appeared to have suffered a traumatic injury but a preliminary investigation revealed no indication of foul play, sheriff’s officials said.

No further details were provided.
