Man fatally struck by vehicle in Vallejo, driver remained at scene

VALLEJO (KRON) — A man was fatally struck by a car in Vallejo Monday night, firefighters said.

The crash happened at around 6:59 p.m. in the 5100 block of Sonoma Boulevard, according to firefighters.

Vallejo police said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. The driver stayed at the scene of the crash, police said.

Sonoma Boulevard has been shut down between Meadows and Mini drives, according to firefighters. The road is expected to open in three or four hours, police said.
