FAIRFIELD (KRON) — A 26-year-old man from San Francisco was fatally shot inside of a Fairfield apartment on Friday night.
At 9:52 p.m., the Fairfield Police Department began receiving phone calls regarding a shooting that had occurred in the 500 block of Alaska Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim in an apartment complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local trauma center and was later pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old male of San Francisco. His name is Jonathan Cottonham Jr., police said.
Detectives from the Investigation Bureau were called out and began investigating the incident. No further information is available at this time.
