BODEGA BAY(KRON)—A Santa Rosa man has been killed and a woman is injured after a solo car crash Sunday morning in Bodega Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. on SR-1 north of Bay Hill Road and Estero Lane.
CHP officers were first told about a 2004 Honda Civic as “being wrapped around a tree.”
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. He has been identified as Atlaw Endrias, 18, of Santa Rosa.
The passenger has been identified as Ivanova Aleksandra Adamovna, 18, of Rohnert Park. Adamovna was found unconscious, intoxicated and not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
She was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with a broken hip, broken ribs and other injuries.
Alcohol is being considered a factor in the crash.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will determine if Endrias was drinking before the collision occurred.
