(KHON) — A jury has found an Oahu, Hawaii man guilty in connection with the death of a 3-year-old girl.
Joshua Kalili was facing a murder charge, but the jury decided to convict him of a lesser manslaughter charge instead.
In October 2014, a family member took the toddler to Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner’s office said she died from blunt impact to the abdomen and internal bleeding. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Kalili faces up to 20 years in prison.
