SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Police arrested a man last Friday morning after someone reported him masturbating in plain view of passing motorists.
48-year-old Liam Atkins was arrested on suspicion of felony indecent exposure and violating the terms of his probation.
Officers received a call at 7:01 a.m. Friday from a motorist who reported seeing the man masturbating at the corner of Fourth Street near Old Courthouse Square. The person told police that Atkins was facing traffic while engaging in the act.
Responding officers, with help from the witness, were able to identify Atkins as the suspect.
Atkins is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction for indecent exposure, according to police. He does not have a permanent address or city of residence.
