MOUNTAIN VIEW (KRON)—Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for trying to steal a woman’s purse Monday night in downtown Mountain View.
Officers noticed a man and a woman fighting on the 200 block of Castro Street.
Police claim they saw the man take the woman’s purse from her shoulder.
Officers tried chasing the suspect, but he was able to get away from them on Dana Street.
Police were able to find the suspect again hiding behind a dumpster near a CVS.
The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Anthony Patterson.
Patterson was arrested and booked for attempted robbery and resisting arrest.
No injuries were reported.
