SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police arrested a suspect in connection to a vandalism and hate crime in San Francisco, Thursday evening.
According to police, 33-year-old David Chacon was taken into custody and charged with felony vandalism and a hate crime enhancement.
On Nov. 17, approximately 4:15 p.m. vandalism was being conducted on a building and parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Egbert Street. Police said, Chacon spray painted a racist epithet and a symbol on the wall of a business.
Chacon then sprayed a gold colored paint onto the hood of a parked Toyota pick-up truck.
The SFPD’s Special Investigation Division, and Hate Crimes Unit investigated the incident.
The booking photo was not released at this time.
Police are asking anyone with additional information related to this case to notify the police.
