A man was arrested Thursday morning after he was found doing donuts on a Petaluma street before losing control of his car and hitting a street sign.
Around 1:55 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, Marco Padilla was driving a white Cadillac northbound on Kentucky Street when police officers heard him revving his engine.
After losing control of his car, Padilla went up on a sidewalk and hit a street sign, officials say.
Police say that Padilla then attempted to back his car up appearing to flee the area, but the officers were able to stop him and pull him out of the vehicle.
According to authorities, two passengers were in Padilla’s car who were also detained, but later released.
Officers say there were no injuries in the crash.
After doing a blood alcohol test, officials say Padilla showed .25, while the legal limit is .08.
Authorities say that Padilla was on probation for a prior conviction for driving without a valid driver’s license.
At the time of the DUI arrest on Thursday, police say Padilla’s license was valid.
Padilla has been booked into the Sonoma County Jail for DUI, reckless driving, and violation of probation.
