ANTIOCH (KRON) — Antioch police arrested a man Thursday morning for an attempted homicide on a woman and child.

According to the police, officers were dispatched at about 11:47 a.m., after receiving a call from a female victim stating her ex-boyfriend was chasing her and his child in a vehicle.

The female victim said the male suspect was ramming into her vehicle, while the child was inside. A collision occurred on Hillcrest Avenue and Via Dora Drive.

Police said, the suspect took the victims from the heavily damaged car and proceeded to take them to a local hospital. Both victims were treated at a the hospital, and the suspect left.

The suspect then returned, and shortly after police took the suspect into custody.

Police arrested the man for attempted murder, child endangerment and domestic violence. He is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility with a bail of $1,195,000.
