SANTA ROSA (BCN) — A Santa Rosa man was arrested after 135 pounds of processed marijuana, weapons and cash were found at an auto repair facility in Santa Rosa, police said this afternoon.

The discovery came after a fire inspector went to the building that contained three makeshift auto shops at 1905 Sebastopol Road on Thursday afternoon, police Sgt. Rich Celli said.

The fire inspector was confronted by several occupants of the building while issuing cease work orders during a compliance check, Celli said.

The fire inspector called police and several people in the building tried to hide in the automotive bays while others came forward, Celli said.

Santa Rosa police narcotics officers found the marijuana packaged in one-pound quantities, two ounces of methamphetamine, more than $3,000 in cash, two firearms, including an AK-47 style rifle and a pistol during a search of the building and an additional storage facility, Celli said.

Police identified Castulo Guerrero, 39, of Santa Rosa as the person responsible for the marijuana and firearms, Celli said. He was booked in the Sonoma County Jail for possession for sales of marijuana, possession of an assault rifle and possession of methamphetamine, Celli said.

Guerrero was using the automotive bay facility as a makeshift auto shop that had the marijuana inside, Celli said. The fire inspector was investigating three of the makeshift shops, but no charges were filed in connection with that investigation, Celli said.

Guerrero was investigated regarding firearms and marijuana in September, Celli said.
