MILPITAS (KRON) — A man and woman with outstanding warrants were found late Tuesday night in Milpitas leaving a vehicle stolen from Rohnert Park.
The 24-year-old suspects were identified as Randy Felix Fassmaes of Morgan Hill and Katrina Yvette Pena of Los Banos.
On Tuesday night around 11:50 p.m. an officer saw a gray 2009 Toyota Camry on West Calaveras Boulevard with a paper license plate and no temporary car registration, police Sgt. Matthew Miller said.
The Camry pulled over to a nearby 7-Eleven store and the officer contacted the two individuals, later identified as the suspects, as they walked away from the car, Miller said.
Fassmaes and Pena allegedly gave fake names to the officer.
Fassmaes allegedly had a stolen driver’s license and credit card along with multiple round of ammunition, according to Miller.
Investigators discovered the Toyota was stolen from Rohnert Park and took the pair into custody, Miller said.
The driver was identified as Pena. The passenger was identified as Fassmaes, who was found to be a felon with past convictions for stealing cars.
Fassmaes was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen car with a prior auto theft conviction, possessing stolen property, being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition, providing a false name to an officer, and an outstanding warrant.
Pena was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen car, possessing stolen property, providing a false name to an officer, driving with a suspected driver’s license and multiple outstanding warrants.
