SAN BRUNO (KRON)—Police arrested a man Monday for allegedly stealing a car in San Francisco and driving it to San Bruno to rob a Sears store, according to police.

Officers arrived to the Shops at Tanforan around 5:50 p.m. after 26-year-old Kenneth Jenkins of San Francisco allegedly stole items from the store, police said.

Jenkins was identified as a suspect. He was arrested on suspicion of theft, vehicle theft, possession of burglary tools and committing a felony while released on bail.

Police have not released more details about what led them to identify Jenkins as a suspect.

Officers returned the vehicle to its registered owner and the stolen items to Sears.

Jenkins has been booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
