NOVATO (KRON)—Police arrested a man for allegedly brandishing a replica handgun at a Safeway gas station in Novato Thursday morning.

Kurt Wizner, 51, Of Hidden Valley is accused of flashing a gun at people at the gas station on Nave Drive.

Police detained Wizner and found a replica firearm.

He allegedly brandished the firearm at three people, according to witnesses.

Wizner is accused of threatening at least one person who thought the replica gun was real, police said.

He was booked in the Marin County Jail on three misdemeanor counts of brandishing a weapon and felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon as well as making criminal threats to terrorize, according to the booking log.

It appears Wizner acted alone and did not use a real firearm.
