SAN JOSE (KRON) — Mohammed Khaliqi, the man charged in connection with the attempted sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in San Jose was in court Monday for his arraignment. He did not enter a plea.
Khaliqi started at the floor for the entire fifteen minutes that it took for a judge to arraign the 27-year-old San Jose man.
Khaliqi is facing four felony counts; assault with the intent to commit rape during a burglary, assault to commit rape and two counts of felony false imprisonment.
He was arrested by San Jose police on Friday, and is believed to be the person caught on video following a 13-year-old girl home from school and attacking her inside her house on Rio Vista Avenue.
Khaliqi is also accused of molesting a woman in the bathroom of a grocery store on Saratoga Avenue, near Moorpark Avenue.
In both cases the victims were able to fight off their attacker.
