Magnitude 2.7 quake rattles Crockett

CROCKETT (BCN) — A small earthquake was reported this morning in unincorporated

Crockett in Contra Costa County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.


The magnitude 2.7 quake was reported at 11:32 a.m. and was located

1 mile south-southeast of central Crockett and 2 miles west-southwest of

Benicia, USGS officials said.

The temblor had a depth of 6.7 miles, according to the USGS.

There have not been any reports of injury or damage from this earthquake.

This is the latest of several small quakes to have rattled the Bay Area over the last few weeks.
