SAN RAMON (KRON) — A 28-year-old man identified as Peter Voss was arrested Wednesday night in San Ramon on suspicion of sexually assaulting a Lyft driver, police said today.

At around 10:30pm, the Lyft driver pulled into the parking lot of a shopping center off of Alcosta Boulevard and called the police after Voss reportedly made several suggestive comments towards the victim, refused to stop and then allegedly sexually assaulted the driver.

The officers called to the scene found Voss urinating in the parking lot and the victim was able to identify him as the man who committed the sexual assault.

Peter Voss was then arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and public drunkenness. He was booked into the Martinez County Jail.

“We expect everyone in the Lyft community to treat each other with respect and have a strict zero-tolerance policy for any type of abuse or harassment. We have permanently deactivated the passenger’s access to the platform, and are available to support the authorities in their investigation” added Alexandra LaManna, a spokesperson for Lyft.
