Several businesses remain closed after a four-alarm fire tore through a building in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood Saturday night.
KRON4’s Ella Sogomonian spoke with residents who said they’re grateful no lives were taken.
The massive fire broke out around 7:24 p.m. at an apartment building on Union Street and Columbus Avenue.
The three-story building has 20 units on the upper floors and five businesses on the bottom floor.
Although the apartments where the fire started were vacant, the restaurants on the ground floor are closed due to severe smoke and water damage.
San Francisco Fire officials said no one was injured in the fire, but eight people were displaced.
