LIVERMORE (KRON)—Police have arrested a suspect Wednesday in the attempted homicide of a 25-year-old man, but are still searching for a person of interest.

Fernando Cruz-Armenta, 18,has been charged for trying to kill a man near Arroyo Creek Trail on Tuesday.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired when they found the 25-year-old victim with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.

The victim is in fair condition and his identity has not been released yet.

Police are still looking for a person of interest in the case, Raul Bonnie Acala, 19.

Acala does have a felony warrant out for his arrest not related to the attempted murder.

The Livermore and San Leandro Police Departments are asking for the public’s help in finding Acala.
