A man is recovering after Fresno police say he was bitten by a lion on his foot at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the man told them he climbed over the fence because he was being chased.
Shortly after being inside, a security guard on site helped the man out of the enclosure.
The man was arrested for trespassing.
The lion was not injured.
