(KRON) KRON4’s Brittney Shipp is not just a meteorologist she is also a children’s book author.

Shipp recently published “The Meteorologist In Me”.

This is Shipp’s first book telling KRON4 “have you ever had a dream you thought was too big to share-boldly? Well, this book is for you!”

“The Meteorologist In Me” is an inspirational tale of a little girl named Summer as she overcomes her fears, conquers her doubts, and gains the courage to reach for her big dream- to become a TV Meteorologist.  She loves sharing weather facts with her family and friends and wonders why everyone laughs at the thought of her on T.V.

Brittney Shipp is a nationally recognized, Emmy-nominated TV Meteorologist from Los Angeles, California. Shipp earned an undergraduate degree from UCLA and Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. She’s appeared nationally on MSNBC’s Early Today, First Look and Morning Joe.

Her weather forecasting assignments include chasing monsoon and dust storms in Phoenix and tracking snow storms & tornadoes with NBC in Philadelphia, After experiencing different climates all over the country for the past 10 years, she’s back home in the great golden state of California tracking microclimates for the Bay Area’s KRON4 News.

Brittney wrote this book to energize all young students to choose weather and science-related fields. She hopes “The Meteorologist In Me” inspires everyone to chase their dreams until they become a reality!
