SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes will all represent the Golden State Warriors when they team up to play for the United States Men’s Basketball team at the 2016 Olympics.
Barnes was a member of the 2014 USA Men’s Select Team.
Green has played at the 2011 World University Games in China and was also a member of the 2014 USA Men’s Select Team.
Thompson won a gold medal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup and 2009 FIBA U19 World Championship representing team USA. He was also a member of the 2012 USA Men’s Select Team.
Duke Men’s Baketball Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski will be the leader on the sidelines for this group.
Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Kyrie Irving are also among the 12 members of Team USA.
Warriors’ point guard Stephen Curry has elected not to play due to lingering injuries he suffering during the 2016 NBA Playoffs.
Team USA will play a game at Oracle Arena on July 26 as a part of the USA Basketball Showcase.
