SALINAS (BCN) — A King City man was sentenced to five years and eight months in state a prison for vehicle theft in a Monterey County courtroom, prosecutors said Friday.
According to prosecutors, David Cecilio Aguilera, 27, went on a crime spree between Oct. 13, 2015 and Jan. 9, 2016 resulting in multiple auto thefts.
Prosecutors said Aguilera allegedly admitted to switching license places and VIN numbers on various cars in an attempt to remain undetected.
In addition to the felony charges, Aguilera plead guilty to resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine, possession of burglar tools and driving on a suspended license.
