Kevin Durant named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week

OAKLAND (KRON) — Today Warrior’s Kevin Durant was named NBA Western Conference player of the week.

The former Thunder star came to Golden State out of free-agency last off-season, a decision that caused major rumbles throughout the league.

High expectations were in place for Durant, and so far he has not disappointed. He’s been able to put up big numbers, without hindering any production from Steph Curry. They are both averaging around 27 points per game. That’s about 60 points per game combined. Not too shabby.

The award was announced today, and the Warriors couldn’t possibly ask for better timing. Tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks just so happens to be Kevin Durant Bobblehead Night.

Go Warriors!
