WATSONVILLE (KRON) — A juvenile was arrested after officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in Watsonville and ended up finding a stolen, concealed firearm.

On Monday evening, shortly after 5:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Elm Street at Lincoln Street on reports of a domestic disturbance of a man and a woman having a domestic dispute.

Officers responded to the scene to find a man that quickly ran off.

Officers pursued him through the rear yard of a residence in the 200 block of Elm Street.

According to police, the suspect was caught but while being apprehended by officers he allegedly said he was in possession of a firearm.

A loaded revolver was found, concealed, on the suspect and was taken by officers without incident.

The suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile male on probation, had an active warrant for his arrest, and the firearm that was recovered had been reported as stolen.

The suspect was transported to the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of resisting arrest, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of stolen property.
