PALO ALTO (KRON) — Lines of people began forming outside of the Palo Alto Apple store Thursday night in anticipation of the new iPhone hitting the shelves.

Apple announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus last week. The new phone are set to be released to the public Friday morning.

However, it’s going to be tough to get your hands on one. The Cupertino-based company is warning customers the there will be a limited supply in stores.

The iPhone 7 Plus sold out during pre-orders so walk-in customers won’t be able to buy the larger version of the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 in the new jet black color also sold out during pre-orders. However, non-Apple relatives like Bet Buy may still have some in stock.

KRON4’s Tech Reporter Gabe Slate’s advice is to order the phones online. He says the phones will be all sold out in stores by midday.

Apple stores are extending their hours for the release. Stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
