The sheriff’s department identified the suspects as Lebraun Tyree Wallace, 28, of San Mateo, Jaquez Deshawn Sweeney, 20, of Marin City, Jason D. Iles, 20, of Marin City, Shamron Joshua Mitchell, 30, of Antioch and Devin Isiah Williamson, 21, of Vallejo.

The suspects have been charged with the following:

Contra Costa County Sheriff officials confirmed that the suspects were part of an investigation in Marin City tconnected to the Orinda Halloween shooting.

The Marin County Sheriff’s SWAT team assisted Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department Thursday with the serving of a search warrant in the 200 block of Drake Avenue.

Contra Costa County Sheriff is now indicating that two of the five victims that died also had weapons, which may have been a factor to the tragedy.

Officials haven’t elaborated on how it could have played a role in the shooting.

“We hope people’s minds are at ease, and I don’t think that simply arrests made in a case can do that for people,” Orinda Mayor Inga Miller said. “This is a horrible, horrible tragedy that’s happened and a horrible event that leaves people shaken.”

While Orinda’s mayor hopes this will lead to calm in the community, she says the city council is taking steps to prevent what happened at this Airbnb from happening anywhere else.

Officials are still gathering information and will conduct a press conference at another time.
