SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Snapchat has become one of the most popular forms of social media in the world.
In quick videos and images with creative filters, users can send items to friends that can only be seen once (unless replayed)…unlike Instagram, which keeps the image on your timeline for as long as you want until you decide to delete it off your page.
Instagram added stories in it’s latest update, giving users the opportunity to like Snapchat, post short videos or images and have it disappear after 24 hours.
Many have complained about the new feature being too much like Snapchat, while others have been active and quickly became fans of it.
Instagram has already changed their logo and navigation in 2016, and with this addition, it looks like they won’t sit still.
KRON 4 viewers, do you like Instragram stories? Or would you prefer they went on without it? Voice your opinion in our poll!
Today, we’re introducing Instagram Stories, a new feature that lets you share all the moments of your day, not just the ones you want to keep on your profile. As you share multiple photos and videos, they appear together in a slideshow format: your story.
With Instagram Stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting. Instead, you can share as much as you want throughout the day – with as much creativity as you want. You can bring your story to life in new ways with text and drawing tools. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed.
