PITTSBURG (BCN) – California Highway Patrol officials closed a part of state Highway 4 Tuesday morning in Pittsburg, following a multi-vehicle collision.
At 4:22 a.m., officers received a report of a vehicle turned sideways on the highway, just west of the Bailey Road off-ramp, according to CHP officials.
Officers then learned at least four vehicles had been involved in a collision, CHP officials said.
At 4:31 a.m., officers closed all eastbound lanes of the highway, as they investigated the incident. Just after 5 a.m., officers reopened all eastbound lanes except for one, according to CHP.
Officers did not immediately release information regarding the condition of any of the victims.
