SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Hunter Pence and the San Francisco Giants didn’t have the best Saturday.
Madison Bumgarner pitched a gem and allowed just two hits against the Washington Nationals in 8 innings pitched, and the Giants still lost.
Pence then received a black eye after he fouled a baseball off his own face.
The outfielder remained in the game and on Monday morning, he took to social media to share the pain on his face.
In his now viral Tweet, Pence says he forgot that he had a black eye and scares people.
Hopefully brighter days are ahead for the orange and black after some struggles following the All-Star Break.
