SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The California Health and Safety Code requires elementary school students to provide proof of immunization before they can attend school, yet students still attend un-vaccinated.  With recent outbreaks of preventable diseases due to non-vaccinated children, kindergarten summary reports have been released showing vaccination school safety.

Some children are allowed to skip required vaccinations if a parent submits a Personal Beliefs Exemption or a Medical exemption at the time of enrollment.

A website showing how vaccinated your child’s school can be seen here: How well-vaccinated is your child’s kindergarten?

Here’s how it works:

You enter your zip code or school name into the vax-map, and colored arrows determine how vaccinated the school population is.
