Three explosions that ripped through the Belgian capital of Brussels on Tuesday killed at least 34 people, according to Belgian media, and raised the reality of terror once again in the heart of Europe.
Prime Minister Manuel Valls, speaking after a crisis meeting called by the French president, says “we are at war. We have been subjected for the last few months in Europe to acts of war.”
