CANTON, Miss. (WJTV) — A Canton homeowner gets help from a neighbor after a man broke into her home Wednesday night.
Police arrested Deangelo Devonta Jackson. He is charged with breaking and entering, trespassing, simple assault and burglary of tools and possessions.
Canton Police said around 10:45 p.m. a woman noticed that someone was inside her Singleton Street home. She went into the living room and saw the person trashing her living room.
Jackson broke into the home through a window, police said.
The homeowner called 911, and the two got into a fight. They ended up going through a sliding door.
The fight ended up outside, and that’s when a neighbor realized what was happening and came to help. The neighbor and the homeowner held Jackson down into police arrived.
The homeowner had minor injuries.
