UPDATE 10:58 AM – Pleasanton Police Officers and members from Alameda County Sheriff’s Office bomb team have completely searched Amador Valley High School.

The searched revealed no explosives of any kind, according to police.

School officials have re-opened the school campus for both staff and students, however they will not be holding class today.

Detectives will continue to investigate the threat to determine who was responsible for sending the email. Anyone with information about this threat is encouraged to call Pleasanton Police at (925) 931-5100.

UPDATE 10:30 AM – The bomb threat was sent to by email to the Amador Valley High School’s principal, police said.

The principal, Tom Drescher, received the email from an unknown person shortly before 7 a.m., police said.

Police and school staff were evacuated from the campus and told to stay home until the school is cleared.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office bomb team and dog will be searching the campus to find the bomb, if one is on campus.


UPDATE 8:27 AM – According to officials from Pleasanton school district, Amador Valley High school will reopen on Friday.

Students are currently being asked to stay home until police can determine it’s safe.

They are unsure when it will open as police are making sure the school is clear.
