FAIRFIELD (KRON) — A high-risk sex offender who had moved to Fairfield is no longer living in the city, according to police spokeswoman Nancy Digiovanni.

Police said they will alert the community if George Shockley moves back to the community. Shockley was living in the 2000 block of Claybank Road.

Shockley is classified as a high-risk sex offender due to his convictions in 1990 of annoying or molesting children under the age of 18 and in 1993 for lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

He is currently on supervised state parole for unrelated charges. The nature of his crimes requires him to register as a sex offender every year and when he changes residences.
