MOUNTAIN VIEW (KRON)—A Mountain View man has been arrested after a Cyber Crime Unit found a hidden camera in a home’s bathroom taped those inside it including a toddler.
One of the victims told Mountain View police about threatening messages she received online and the messages had photos of her inside her home bathroom.
Detectives went to the home on the 2000 block of Middlefield Road and found hidden cameras under the sink.
The cable to the camera lead to a bedroom that was being rented by 36-year-old Jose Chavez Ballesteros.
The crime unit was able to review the footage taken by Ballesteros and found one of the videos had a toddler using the bathroom.
Ballesteros was arrested for manufacturing child pornography, possession of child pornography, extortion and three counts of hidden camera for sexual gratification.
Police are still investigating the case.
