San Jose’s Happy Hollow Park and Zoo welcomed a baby lemur into the family and now the public can vote on his name.
The yellow-eyed, black and white ruffed lemur was born on April 6 and just might outscore a panda on the cuteness scale.
The animal park chose three names anyone can vote for: Oka which means “prize,” Zandry or Volana which means “moon” in Malagasy.
Lemurs have been hunted and habitat-deprived almost to extinction and the birth is part of a species survival plan for the critters.
