HAYWARD (KRON) — The Hayward school board has fired its superintendent.
Stan Dobbs had been on paid leave since the summer.
That is when the district started looking into claims that Dobbs violated state law.
Dobbs also came under fire for bringing in former San Francisco 49ers player Ray McDonald to speak to high school students this past February.
McDonald is facing charges of rape.
The board held a lengthy meeting on Wednesday night before deciding to part ways with Dobbs.
