HAYWARD (KRON) — A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting Thursday night.
At 9:45 p.m., Hayward police officers were called to the 500 block of Jefferson street after hearing reports of a man down on the ground after being shot.
Officers arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
That man has been identified as 22-year-old William Pacheco Jr.
He died at the scene of the shooting.
Police are still looking into a possible motive.
No suspects or people of interest have been named yet.
