The National Weather Service says Hurricane Lane in the waters off Hawaii has weakened to become Tropical Storm Lane.
A Flash Flood Warning continues for Hilo, Volcano, and Honoka until 6:30 p.m. Hawaii time.
Lane weakened on Friday due to strong shear near the islands. Maximum winds are now 70 miles per hour and still pose a threat for flooding through Saturday.
A Tropical Storm Warning has replaced all Hurricane Warnings.
