SAN JOSE (BCN) — Police are asking for the public’s help in the identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for reportedly shooting at a California Highway Patrol vehicle on March 5 in San Jose.
San Jose Police Department officers responded at 11:36 p.m. to northbound U.S. Highway 101 near Story Road to assist CHP officers with a shooting investigation.
Police investigators learned two CHP officers were on a car stop when shots were fired in their direction. One round struck the roof of the officers’ patrol car, police said. The officers were not injured in the shooting incident.
